Christine O'Donnell - Religious Views

Religious Views

Raised as Catholic, O'Donnell's interest in her family religion waned during her teenage years, while she considered various beliefs and searched for spiritual truth.

In college, O'Donnell became a born-again Christian and has been described as a former Catholic turned evangelical Christian. In 2010, O'Donnell stated that she was open to attending both Catholic and Protestant services. In an interview on September 4, 2011 for Florida Daily NewsMakers with Jeff Lytle, she stated that she was a devout and practicing Catholic.

Famous quotes containing the words religious and/or views:

It is not woman who claims the highest in man. It is a man’s own religious soul that drives him on beyond women, to his supreme activity. For his highest, man is responsible to God alone.
    —D.H. (David Herbert)

Though your views are in straight antagonism to theirs, assume an identity of sentiment, assume that you are saying precisely that which all think, and in the flow of wit and love roll out your paradoxes in solid column, with not the infirmity of a doubt.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
