Concord Music Group
During the CD release performances at a Virgin Music store for Scotts' self-titled debut recording, a former distributor for Concord Records, Kenneth Shurtlift, was in attendance and later forwarded Scott's recording to executives with Concord Music Group. Scott signed with the major label in 2005 and released his second recording, "Rewind That" in 2006. Scott was prominently featured on the cover of Billboard Magazine and was named "One to Watch in 2006" by the quintessential music industry magazine. Scott's major label debut enjoyed remarkable success with its odd metered offerings of Jazz, Rock and R&B infused compositions. Critics did not know how to categorize the blend of musical influences.

Famous quotes containing the words concord, music and/or group:
“The Concord had rarely been a river, or rivus, but barely fluvius, or between fluvius and lacus. This Merrimack was neither rivus nor fluvius nor lacus, but rather amnis here, a gently swelling and stately rolling flood approaching the sea. We could even sympathize with its buoyant tied, going to seek its fortune in the ocean, and anticipating the time when being received within the plain of its freer water, it should beat the shore for banks.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“To know whether you are enjoying a piece of music or not you must see whether you find yourself looking at the advertisements of Pears soap at the end of the libretto.”
—Samuel Butler (18351902)
“Unless a group of workers know their work is under surveillance, that they are being rated as fairly as human beings, with the fallibility that goes with human judgment, can rate them, and that at least an attempt is made to measure their worth to an organization in relative terms, they are likely to sink back on length of service as the sole reason for retention and promotion.”
—Mary Barnett Gilson (1877?)
