He was originally chosen by the New York Yankees as the third-to-last pick of the 2004 MLB Draft (1,496th overall in the 50th round), but did not sign. He was once again drafted, by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, in the 2005 MLB Draft, however he did not sign. Philip L. Graham (1915–1963)

Why not draft executive and management brains to prepare and produce the equipment the $21-a-month draftee must use and forget this dollar-a-year tommyrot? Would we send an army into the field under a dollar-a-year General who had to be home Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays?
    Lyndon Baines Johnson (1908–1973)

It is crystal clear to me that if Arabs put down a draft resolution blaming Israel for the recent earthquake in Iran it would probably have a majority, the U.S. would veto it and Britain and France would abstain.
    Amos Oz (b. 1939)
