Apart from the Hugli-Chuchura municipality and Bansberia municipality, the subdivision contains 11 census towns and rural areas of 69 gram panchayats under five community development blocs: Balagarh, Chinsurah–Mogra, Dhaniakhali, Pandua and Polba–Dadpur. The 11 census towns are: Badhagachhi, Kodalia, Raghunathpur, Madhusudanpur, Amodghata, Shankhanagar, Chak Bansberia, Kulihanda, Simla, Dharmapur, Pandua.
