China Motor Bus - Fleet

Fleet

Besides the eight Dennis Dart Coach Express retained to operate the free shuttle service mentioned above, most of the fleet was transferred to New World First Bus in 1998 after the end of CMB's franchise. Two Volvo Olympian air-conditioned buses were sold to Citybus at half price in 2002, and Citybus, in turn, gave up one of its single-deck buses (the Volvo B6LE now used in the shuttle) to CMB for free.

Some of the buses transferred to New World First Bus were even shipped to Australia or the United Kingdom, and function as tour buses and school buses.

Famous quotes containing the word fleet:

They ... fleet the time carelessly, as they did in the golden world.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

Believe me, if all those endearing young charms,
Which I gaze on so fondly today,
Were to change by tomorrow, and fleet in my arms,
    Like fairy-gifts fading away.
    Thomas Moore (1779–1852)

On the middle of that quiet floor
sits a fleet of small black ships,
    square-rigged, sails furled, motionless,
    their spars like burned matchsticks.
    Elizabeth Bishop (1911–1979)
