Volunteering
CHF accepts volunteers from churches, community groups, and schools into warehouses in Los Angeles, Chicago, and San Antonio. Volunteers pack boxes of food called Food Paks on an assembly line as well as bag dried beans and pasta, wrap toys, and sort donated product.
The annual Toy Wrap event is CHF's largest volunteer event. Each year, thousands of volunteers gather to wrap toys donated by corporate manufactures or retailers. At the event, CHF names a Volunteer of the Year, honoring them for their service and commitment to feed hungry children.
