Child Cannibalism

Child cannibalism or fetal cannibalism describes the act of eating a child or fetus. Accounts, especially modern ones, are often dismissed as rumours or urban legends. However, there have been some media stories pursuing incidents involving the consumption of children and fetuses. Controversy was sparked when images showing what appeared to be human fetuses and babies being served in an array of dishes in China. Reports later explained that the images were part of an artist's exhibition (Zhu Yu (artist)) and was not a real baby but just to be in a artwork. The artwork is called "Eating people" and was made to protest against cannibalism.

Famous quotes containing the words child and/or cannibalism:

You can’t write about people out of textbooks, and you can’t use jargon. You have to speak clearly and simply and purely in a language that a six-year-old child can understand; and yet have the meanings and the overtones of language, and the implications, that appeal to the highest intelligence.
    Katherine Anne Porter (1890–1980)

There is a cannibalism that’s loose in our society in which public figures such as the Clintons could try to come into this town and do something good for this country and then they get hammered away even though they’re trying to do the right thing.
    David R. Gergen (b. 1942)
