The Chief of the Army Staff (CAS) of the Bangladesh Army is the professional head of the Bangladesh Army. By virtue of the eminence of the Bangladesh Army amongst the military forces of Bangladesh, he is also regarded as the senior-most defence official in the country. The current CAS is General Iqbal Karim Bhuiyan NDC PSC.

The Chief of Army Staff functions from the Army Headquarters, which is located in the Dhaka Cantonment. The Chief of Army Staff is the rank of General. The official residence of the Chief of Army Staff is known as Shenabhaban' or Army House and has served as the official residence of the CAS since independence at Dhaka Cantonment. As per Army Rules and Regulations the post of the CAS is a four year term.
