Family and Personal Life
Chen was married to Yang Foo Oi (born 1924/25) until 2011. The couple have two daughters, Angela Chen Wai-fong and Vivien Wai Wai Chen, and at least one granddaughter, Karen Cheung.
As a devout Buddhist, Chen founded the D.H. Chen Foundation, which provides charity services in education, welfare and medicine.
