Cheltenham Ladies' College - Present Day

Present Day

The school uniform consists of a white blouse, green skirt and green jumper with a badge featuring the House colours. Sixth Form girls are given the option of trousers or pencil skirts (navy with pinstripes). There are occasional days when girls are allowed to wear their own choice of clothes in return for a donation to charity. Girls carry the School Sack or carry their school equipment in their arms.

Famous quotes containing the words present day, present and/or day:

One of the most singular facts about the unwritten history of this country is the consummate ability with which Southern influence, Southern ideas and Southern ideals, have from the very beginning even up to the present day, dictated to and domineered over the brain and sinew of this nation.
    Anna Julia Cooper (1859–1964)

It is not only the prisoners who grow coarse and hardened from corporeal punishment, but those as well who perpetrate the act or are present to witness it.
    Anton Pavlovich Chekhov (1860–1904)

The greatest waste of time he knew of was to count the hours—what good can come of it?—and the greatest illusion in the world, to lead one’s day by the sound of the clock, and not by precepts of common sense and understanding.
    François Rabelais (1494–1553)
