Memmel was rumored to be dating San Francisco Giants Third Baseman Ryan Rohlinger; however, Rohlinger stated in the San Francisco Chronicle that the rumor isn't true and that he doesn't even know Memmel. However, Rohlinger also commented, "I think it would be fun to meet her because she's an Olympic medalist and she's from my home state."
Memmel purchased her first home (a three-bedroom ranch) in West Allis, Wisconsin.
On July 28, Memmel got engaged to Kory Maier, a mechanical engineer.
