Chegunta (Telugu: చేగుంట) is the Mandal Headquarters in Medak district of Andhra Pradesh. It is located on the NH7 about 62km from the state capital Hyderabad. It is on the train line between Secunderabad-Nizamabad-Mumbai served by "Wadiaram" station. Chegunta means six ponds in Telugu, but the ponds are no longer present.
