Cheddi Jagan Bio Diversity Park
Cheddi Jagan Bio-Diversity Park was established in 2001 in memory of patriot and national hero Dr. Cheddi Jagan by Isahak Basir CCH.
It is located on a historical site created by slaves in the period of the 18th century and also a symbol of action that lead to the final closure of Hampton Court Estate in 1943, being the last of the 34 sugar mills in Essequibo.

Famous quotes containing the words diversity and/or park:
“We call the intention good which is right in itself, but the action is good, not because it contains within it some good, but because it issues from a good intention. The same act may be done by the same man at different times. According to the diversity of his intention, however, this act may be at one time good, at another bad.”
—Peter Abelard (10791142)
“and the words never said,
And the ominous, ominous dancing ahead.
We sat in the car park till twenty to one
And now Im engaged to Miss Joan Hunter Dunn.”
—Sir John Betjeman (19061984)
