Charlie's Angels received enormously negative reviews from critics, who cited low quality graphics and bland, repetitive gameplay. It also received the lowest possible score, 1 / 10, from The Official PlayStation 2 Magazine UK.
Gametrailers rated it the worst movie game in history.
Reviewers' complaints have included: limited number of available moves for playable characters; unfinished graphics; choppy animation; linear gameplay in each stage imposed by "invisible walls"; a storyline with little bearing on the Charlie's Angels franchise; and getting stuck in doorways.
It also holds the record on GameRankings as the all-time worst video game (of games with at least 20 reviews) with a score of 24.57%.

Famous quotes containing the word reception:
“Hes leaving Germany by special request of the Nazi government. First he sends a dispatch about Danzig and how 10,000 German tourists are pouring into the city every day with butterfly nets in their hands and submachine guns in their knapsacks. They warn him right then. What does he do next? Goes to a reception at von Ribbentropfs and keeps yelling for gefilte fish!”
—Billy Wilder (b. 1906)
“But in the reception of metaphysical formula, all depends, as regards their actual and ulterior result, on the pre-existent qualities of that soil of human nature into which they fallthe company they find already present there, on their admission into the house of thought.”
—Walter Pater (18391894)
“To aim to convert a man by miracles is a profanation of the soul. A true conversion, a true Christ, is now, as always, to be made by the reception of beautiful sentiments.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
