Famous quotes containing the words marriage and, marriage and/or family:

I have yet to hear a man ask for advice on how to combine marriage and a career.
    Gloria Steinem (b. 1934)

All the same, it is only fair that the marriage should pay for past pleasures, since it will scarcely procure any in the future.
Philip Dormer Stanhope, 4th Earl Chesterfield (1694–1773)

Welcome to the great American two-career family and pass the aspirin please.
    Anastasia Toufexis (20th century)
