Charles P. Steinmetz Academic Centre (known as Steinmetz High School), is a public 4-year high school located in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood on the northside of Chicago, Illinois. It is a part of the Chicago Public Schools. It is named for the handicapped German-American mathematician and electrical engineer Charles Proteus Steinmetz. The 2000 television movie Cheaters is based on a 1995 Academic Decathlon scandal that involved the school. Parts of Cheaters were filmed (without permission) at Steinmetz.
