Contribution To Religious Support
Chaplain assistants provide diversity to the Unit Ministry Team. Because chaplains are commissioned officers, enlisted personnel may feel more comfortable approaching the enlisted chaplain assistant with a personal issue. In addition, because chaplains are non-combatants and are unauthorized to bear arms, most chaplains do not have combat experience like enlisted personnel usually do. The chaplain assistant allows troubled soldiers the option of confiding in someone who can offer genuine empathy to soldiers facing issues relating to combat or deployments.

“He left behind, as his essential contribution to literature, a large repertoire of jokes which survive because of their sheer neatness, and because of a certain intriguing uncertaintywhich extends to Wilde himselfas to whether they really mean anything.”

“All in all, the creative act is not performed by the artist alone; the spectator brings the work in contact with the external world by deciphering and interpreting its inner qualifications and thus adds his contribution to the creative act. This becomes even more obvious when posterity gives its final verdict and sometimes rehabilitates forgotten artists.”
—Marcel Duchamp (18871968)
“Primarily I am a passionately religious man, and my novels must be written from the depth of my religious experience.”
—D.H. (David Herbert)
“Because the young child feels with such intensity, he experiences sorrows that seem inconsolable and losses that feel unbearable. A precious toy gets broken or a good-bye cannot be endured. When this happens, words like sad or disappointed seem a travesty because they cannot possibly capture the enormity of the childs loss. He needs a loving adult presence to support him in his pain but he does not want to be talked out of it.”
—Alicia F. Lieberman (20th century)
