Retirement

Upon retirement, he was sent to Elmendorf Stud in 1930 to replace his sire, Fair Play, who had died in 1939. He was very successful as a stud, siring the 1934 Belmont Stakes winner, Peace Shot, as well as the champion filly Fairy Chant, Bushwacker, Shot Put, Chance Sun, and Your Chance.

Upon his death in 1952, he was buried at Normandy Farm, a portion of Elmendorf Stud that had been renamed.
