Education
The Chalissery High School commenced in 1957, has been on a path of revival for the past ten years including the elimination of campus politics and elections. In the past few years the SSLC pass percentage of the school have been one of the highest. Recently the school has obtained a modern playground and auditorium.
Nearby schools include the government primary school, and the Syrian Christian Upper primary school. The Royal Dental College is situated at Iron Hills (Irumbinkunnu).
