Center for Applied Molecular Biology is a highly distinguished research institute in Asia, located at Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. It is an autonomous organization that is under administrative control of Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of Pakistan.
It is to be noted that there is a distinction between Center for Applied Molecular Biology (CAMB) and Center for Excellence in Molecular Biology (CEMB), where the former is under administrative control of Ministry of Education.
The Centre offers M.Phil and Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Immunology, Forensic science, Plant Biology, Virology and Bioinformatics. Altogether, Only 10 position are available every year for M.Phil and Ph.D admission. The admission process is one of the toughest and highly competitive in Pakistan with admission rate of 4-5% annually. A greater number of foreign scholars are also perusing their M.Phil and Ph.D in the centre.
The Centre has extremely beautiful campus with its own housing system.
