Celestian - Dogma

Dogma

Celestian encourages his followers to wander far from home, just as the stars do. Astrology is as much a part of Celestian's faith as astronomy is, and his worshippers are encouraged to discover the secrets within the patterns of the stars and other celestial bodies.

Famous quotes containing the word dogma:

From the age of fifteen, dogma has been the fundamental principle of my religion: I know no other religion; I cannot enter into the idea of any other sort of religion; religion, as a mere sentiment, is to me a dream and a mockery.
    Cardinal John Henry Newman (1801–1890)

We call a man a bigot or a slave of dogma because he is a thinker who has thought thoroughly and to a definite end.
    Gilbert Keith Chesterton (1874–1936)

Nothing can save us from a perpetual headlong fall into a bottomless abyss but a solid footing of dogma; and we no sooner agree to that than we find that the only trustworthy dogma is that there is no dogma.
    George Bernard Shaw (1856–1950)
