Castle View High School - Curriculum

Curriculum

Castle View was the third high school in Douglas County to offer Chinese in its foreign language courses, although it has since been discontinued. American Sign Language and Japanese are also offered. CVHS is also the first high school in Colorado to offer unique and specialized groupings of classes, referred to as academies. At the present there are four: Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), Biotech & Health Sciences (BHS), Leadership & Global Communications (LGC), and Visual and Performing Arts (VPA).

Famous quotes containing the word curriculum:

If we focus exclusively on teaching our children to read, write, spell, and count in their first years of life, we turn our homes into extensions of school and turn bringing up a child into an exercise in curriculum development. We should be parents first and teachers of academic skills second.
    Neil Kurshan (20th century)
