Castle Manor Business & Enterprise College - Academy Conversion

Academy Conversion

Castle Manor Business and Enterprise College was officially closed on 31 May 2012 and became Castle Manor Academy on 1 June 2012. The Academy is a converter academy which formed its own Academy Trust and also includes Place Farm Primary Academy. Both academies share a common leadership and governance structure, which was initiated as their time as partner schools. The structure encourages integration between the academies with many staff working between both academies and pupils regularly working across the two sites.

Famous quotes containing the words academy and/or conversion:

I realized early on that the academy and the literary world alike—and I don’t think there really is a distinction between the two—are always dominated by fools, knaves, charlatans and bureaucrats. And that being the case, any human being, male or female, of whatever status, who has a voice of her or his own, is not going to be liked.
    Harold Bloom (b. 1930)

The conversion of a savage to Christianity is the conversion of Christianity to savagery.
    George Bernard Shaw (1856–1950)
