In 2009, Caslione published his fifth book, co-authored with marketing guru and thought leader Philip Kotler, entitled, Chaotics: The Business of Managing and Marketing in The Age of Turbulence (AMACOM Publishing; May 2009)

Chaotics co-authors Caslione and Philip Kotler proclaim that companies must plan now for an economy that will no longer ebb and flow like the smooth upward rising sine waves of the past, but rather will look like the choppy spikes of a heartbeat in an EKG—the “new normality”. Their Chaotics Management System includes new Chaotics Strategies and Chaotics Strategic Behaviors for hedging risk and confronting uncertainty to help businesses navigate through turbulence rather than being caught up in it. In its first year of publication, Chaotics: The Business of Managing and Marketing in The Age of Turbulence is distributed in 78 countries and published in 38 languages.

Caslione has previously written four books: two English-language books on globalization and international business, Growing Your Business in Emerging Markets: Promise and Perils (Dearborn Publishing, 2002), and Global Manifest Destiny: Growing Your Business in a Borderless Economy (Greenwood Publishing, 2000); and two Chinese-language books, Going Global: How to Globalize Your Business (Economy & Management Publishing House, 2005), and Developing Successful Global Sales and Distribution Channel Strategy (Economy & Management Publishing House, 2005).

Caslione is Adjunct Professor at the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, Visiting Professor at Macquarie Graduate School of Management in Sydney, Australia, and guest lecturer at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois (USA).
