Cartoon Pizza - Jumbo Pictures

Jumbo Pictures was founded by Jim Jinkins in 1987 to produce the episodes of Doug; the very first Nicktoon.

In 1996, Jinkins sold the company, and the rights to Doug with it, to The Walt Disney Company. The company continued operations until the cancellation of the Playhouse Disney cartoon series PB&J Otter in 2000. In 2001, Jinkins formed a new production company, Cartoon Pizza.

Famous quotes containing the words jumbo and/or pictures:

I’m a priest, not a priestess.... “Priestess” implies mumbo jumbo and all sorts of pagan goings-on. Those who oppose us would love to call us priestesses. They can call us all the names in the world—it’s better than being invisible.
    Carter Heyward (b. 1946)

There is nothing on earth more exquisite than a bonny book, with well-placed columns of rich black writing in beautiful borders, and illuminated pictures cunningly inset. But nowadays, instead of looking at books, people read them. A book might as well be one of those orders for bacon and bran.
    George Bernard Shaw (1856–1950)
