Carsten Bo Eriksen - Music

Music

Carsten Bo Eriksen (MBD73) works in the terrain between sound, space, image and form. He works freely over genres, as a true renaissance artist. His music finds inspiration in the European and American minimalism, as well as electronica, post-classical and post-rock music. He is among the very few composers in Denmark with strong roots in minimalism.

Famous quotes containing the word music:

    Slow, slow, fresh fount, keep time with my salt tears;
    Yet slower yet, oh faintly gentle springs:
    List to the heavy part the music bears,
    “Woe weeps out her division when she sings.”
    Droop herbs and flowers;
    Fall grief in showers;
    “Our beauties are not ours”:
    Oh, I could still,
    Like melting snow upon some craggy hill,
    Drop, drop, drop, drop,
    Since nature’s pride is, now, a withered daffodil.
    Ben Jonson (1572–1637)

    The first condition for making music is not to make a noise.
    José Bergamín (1895–1983)

    Words move, music moves
    Only in time; but that which is only living
    Can only die. Words, after speech, reach
    Into the silence.
    —T.S. (Thomas Stearns)
