Personal Life
Lin earned a bachelor's degree in political science from UCLA. Lin was a roommate with actress Heather Locklear at UCLA, mentioned by Locklear while a guest on Larry King Live in 1999.
Lin's husband, William Robinson, an eight-time Emmy Award winning news producer, died of cancer in 2003. Lin and Robinson had one child.
