Carnival Sensation

The Carnival Sensation is a Fantasy-class cruise ship, which began operation with Carnival Cruise Lines in 1993. She was the third ship to be built in the Fantasy class. The Carnival Sensation returned to active cruise service on February 12, 2009, after an extensive drydocking and refit. During the refit, 98 private balconies were added to former ocean view rooms. An adults only sunning area called Serenity was added to Promenade Deck, aft. A children's water park area was installed on Verandah Deck, aft, in an area formerly used as a pool and sunning area. The Carnival Sensation's main pool area on Lido Deck, midship, was renovated and the water slide was removed. Other renovations included new carpeting in public spaces and in her main dining rooms, and a 4-story tall "Carnival Waterworks" waterslide was added at the aft of the ship. Today, the Carnival Sensation does 3 and 4 night cruises out of Port Canaveral, Florida to Nassau, Bahamas and Freeport, Bahamas. Her sister ships, the Carnival Ecstasy, and the Carnival Dream, sail out of Port Canaveral, also.

Famous quotes containing the words carnival and/or sensation:

Looks like some carnival lost a good act.
    James Gleason (1886–1959)

In ordinary speech the words perception and sensation tend to be used interchangeably, but the psychologist distinguishes. Sensations are the items of consciousness—a color, a weight, a texture—that we tend to think of as simple and single. Perceptions are complex affairs that embrace sensation together with other, associated or revived contents of the mind, including emotions.
    Jacques Barzun (b. 1907)
