Personal Life
Bonner lives in Belgrave, Melbourne with her sons Harley (born April 1991) and Jhye, (born January 1998). She has dated Australian celebrity Sullivan Stapleton, brother of her one-time co-star Jacinta Stapleton, until 2008, she now dates a personal trainer.
Outside of Neighbours, Bonner follows various public pursuits. She has been involved in several mainstream Australian charities over the years.
Bonner is best friends with Kym Valentine, who played Libby Kennedy in Neighbours. Bonner's character Steph and Valentine's character Libby are also best friends, meaning that they spend a lot of time together on and off screen.
In 2007 Bonner was involved in car accident and was charged with "unlicensed driving" amongst other offences. She was convicted and fined $1000.
