Carl Giammarese - Nomination To Hit Parade Hall of Fame

Nomination To Hit Parade Hall of Fame

In 2008, The Buckinghams were nominated for induction into The Hit Parade Hall of Fame. This organization was initiated by radio programming executive John Rook and Gil Bateman, who assembled a board of directors of extensive experience in radio broadcasting and the record industry.

IN 2012, Giammarese was presented with the "Man of the Year" award by the Secret Agent Foundation, a Chicago-area music charity that provides music instruments and instructions to underserved Chicago youth.

Famous quotes containing the words nomination to, nomination, hit, parade, hall and/or fame:

In ancient times—’twas no great loss—
They hung the thief upon the cross:
But now, alas!—I say’t with grief—
They hang the cross upon the thief.
—Anonymous. “On a Nomination to the Legion of Honour,” from Aubrey Stewart’s English Epigrams and Epitaphs (1897)

I shall not seek and I will not accept, the nomination of my party for another term as your President.
    Lyndon Baines Johnson (1908–1973)

I’d rather you shot at tin cans in the back yard, but I know you’ll go after birds. Shoot all the bluejays you want, if you can hit ‘em, but remember it’s a sin to kill a mockingbird.... Mockingbirds don’t do one thing but make music for us to enjoy. They don’t eat up people’s gardens, don’t nest in corncribs, they don’t do one thing but sing their hearts out for us. That’s why it’s a sin to kill a mockingbird.
    Harper Lee (b. 1926)

The parade was here, but it disappeared around a corner.
    Mason Cooley (b. 1927)

Sweet death, small son, our instrument
    Of immortality,
    Your cries and hungers document
    Our bodily decay.
    —Donald Hall (b. 1928)

Those who write for lucre or fame are grosser Iscariots than the cartel robbers, for they steal the genius of the people, which is its will to resist evil.
    Edward Dahlberg (1900–1977)
