Famous quotes containing the words enters and/or congress:
“Beside all the moral benefit which we may expect from the farmers profession, when a man enters it considerately, this promised the conquering of the soil, plenty, and beyond this, the adorning of the country with every advantage and ornament which labor, ingenuity, and affection for a mans home, could suggest.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
“The profession I chose was politics; the profession I entered was the law. I entered the one because I thought it would lead to the other. It was once the same road; and Congress is [s]till full of lawyers.”
—Woodrow Wilson (18561924)
