2-Tone
2 Tone Records, founded in 1979, combined ska, reggae and rock, which some say developed into punk rock, spawning the 2 Tone movement with bands such as The Specials, The Selecter and Madness. The 2-Tone sound continued and evolved into the 1980s, with bands such as The Hot Knives, The Loafers and Potato 5.
