Further information: Recession

Famous quotes containing the words canning and, canning and/or economic:

The greatest and truest models for all orators ... is Demosthenes. One who has not studied deeply and constantly all the great speeches of the great Athenian, is not prepared to speak in public. Woodrow Wilson (1856–1924)

A steady patriot of the world alone,
The friend of every country but his own.
    —George Canning (1770–1827)

    Arlie Hochschild (20th century)
