The Canberra International Film Festival (CIFF) is an annual film festival held in Australia's National Capital, Canberra. It is a cinema celebration across a 12-day program in October/November each year. It is a showcase of extraordinary films from Australia and around the globe.
In addition to screening feature films and documentaries, there is always a suite of additional events such as Q&A sessions, workshops and panel discussions with directors, producers, actors and the broad range of artists involved in the filmmaking process.

Famous quotes containing the words film and/or festival:
“This film is apparently meaningless, but if it has any meaning it is doubtless objectionable.”
—British Board Of Film Censors. Quoted in Halliwells Filmgoers Companion (1984)
“Three times a year all your males shall appear before the LORD your God at the place that he will choose: at the festival of unleavened bread, at the festival of weeks, and at the festival of booths. They shall not appear before the LORD empty-handed; all shall give as they are able, according to the blessing of the LORD your God that he has given you.”
—Bible: Hebrew, Deuteronomy 16:16,17.
