Professional Manager (P.Mgr.)

The Professional Manager (P.Mgr.) designation denotes an academic and practical Canadian experience background which will permit businesses to look at the holders of this designation with confidence as to their management skills. The P.Mgr. designation can be achieved through a variety of routes such as EMBA, BBA, BComm, or C.I.M. qualifications supplemented with extensive verified managerial experience. There is also a route for those without formal qualifications in management that possess extensive experience.

The P.Mgr. designation provides, for the first time in the management profession, the identification of individuals from various specialty disciplines who meet an established set of criteria reflecting high standards of professional integrity, work performance and recognition.

Famous quotes containing the words professional and/or manager:

Virtue and vice suppose the freedom to choose between good and evil; but what can be the morals of a woman who is not even in possession of herself, who has nothing of her own, and who all her life has been trained to extricate herself from the arbitrary by ruse, from constraint by using her charms?... As long as she is subject to man’s yoke or to prejudice, as long as she receives no professional education, as long as she is deprived of her civil rights, there can be no moral law for her!
    Flora Tristan (1803–1844)

I knew a gentleman who was so good a manager of his time that he would not even lose that small portion of it which the calls of nature obliged him to pass in the necessary-house, but gradually went through all the Latin poets in those moments. He bought, for example, a common edition of Horace, of which he tore off gradually a couple of pages, read them first, and then sent them down as a sacrifice to Cloacina: this was so much time fairly gained.
Philip Dormer Stanhope, 4th Earl Chesterfield (1694–1773)
