Campbell Newman - Personal Life and Family

Personal Life and Family

Newman lives in Brisbane with his wife Lisa (who is of mixed Lebanese paternal and Irish maternal heritage) and their two daughters, Rebecca and Sarah.

Newman was raised an Anglican and is "not a regular churchgoer" although the family says grace over meals every night. His wife and two daughters are baptised Catholics.

Famous quotes containing the words personal, life and/or family:

I would rather have as my patron a host of anonymous citizens digging into their own pockets for the price of a book or a magazine than a small body of enlightened and responsible men administering public funds. I would rather chance my personal vision of truth striking home here and there in the chaos of publication that exists than attempt to filter it through a few sets of official, honorably public-spirited scruples.
    John Updike (b. 1932)

I don’t think life is absurd. I think we are all here for a huge purpose. I think we shrink from the immensity of the purpose we are here for.
    Norman Mailer (b. 1923)

I worry about people who get born nowadays, because they get born into such tiny families—sometimes into no family at all. When you’re the only pea in the pod, your parents are likely to get you confused with the Hope Diamond. And that encourages you to talk too much.
    Russell Baker (b. 1925)
