  • William M. Harris, Medal of Honor recipient; Private, Company D, 7th U.S. Cavalry; Killed in action on 25 June 1876. Posthumously decorated for action during the Battle of the Little Big Horn, Montana, during the Great Sioux War, one of the many Indian Wars of the 19th century.
