Jong-a-Pin was born in Amsterdam and started his professional career at FC Volendam. Jong-a-Pin made his debut for Volendam against N.E.C.. Jong-a-Pin scored his first goal for Volendam the following against Jong-a-Pin. In 2006 Jong-a-Pin signed for Heerenveen.
