General Information
The College of Engineering is the largest of Cal Poly's six colleges, with 5,411 students (5,007 undergraduate + 404 graduate students) of the 18,679 enrolled in Fall 2012. Preliminary numbers show that for engineering freshmen entering Fall 2012, Cal Poly accepted 30.7% of applicants (3,402 accepted/11,082 applied); entering freshmen had an average GPA of 3.98, ACT of 30, and SAT of 1346 (math and reading only). According to U.S. News & World Report's 2013 America's Best Colleges report, the College of Engineering has the No. 8 ranking for undergraduate engineering schools in the US whose highest degree is a Master's. Cal Poly San Luis Obispo offers 4+1 Master (5-year) programs for some engineering majors.
