Caitlin Fairchild - Alternate Versions

Alternate Versions

  • During the storyline entitled "Bleed" in Stormwatch v2, an alternate world was shown in which Caitlin had joined this version of Stormwatch (which had 20 superhumans working for Stormwatch, divided in five squads of four members), becoming a team leader. She was apparently killed along with the rest of Stormwatch, including Jack Hawksmoor and Roxy Spaulding when they tried to stop a Kherubin invasion.
  • Another set in the Alan Moore WildC.A.T.s/Spawn crossover, where a Satan-powered Spawn calling himself the Ipissimus forced superheroines into being concubines for his underlings. Fairchild became morbidly obese in order to be overlooked. She was present when the past WildC.A.T.s stormed the Ipissimus stronghold.
  • The hero Union teams with an alternate resistance-fighter Caitlin in a world conquered by the magician Necros. Caitlin's father, an illusion caster, tricks Necros into expending his energy upon him, perishing but allowing a fatal blow to be delivered in return.

Famous quotes containing the words alternate and/or versions:

Boswell, when he speaks of his Life of Johnson, calls it my magnum opus, but it may more properly be called his opera, for it is truly a composition founded on a true story, in which there is a hero with a number of subordinate characters, and an alternate succession of recitative and airs of various tone and effect, all however in delightful animation.
    James Boswell (1740–1795)

The assumption must be that those who can see value only in tradition, or versions of it, deny man’s ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
    Stephen Bayley (b. 1951)
