Cadet College Razmak - Golden Night

Golden Night

The last night of each term in the college is called the “Golden Night”. This night has an always been of great importance in a cadet’s life because the next morning, cadets have to leave for their homes after a tiring 3~5 months long term in the college. With the expectation of being with their families the following night on one hand and the feeling of parting with friends and room-mates on the other hand; a tingling sensation is induced in the heart of the cadets.

The cadets mostly remain awake through the night and some indulge in interesting activities like throwing water over the sleeping fellows, polishing their faces while they are asleep and many other innovative mischief.

Famous quotes containing the words golden and/or night:

I turned my head and saw the wind,
Not far from where I stood,
Dragging the corn by her golden hair,
Into a dark and lonely wood.
    William Henry Davies (1871–1940)

A man was to live in that egg-shell day and night, a mile from the shore.... Think of making your bed thus in the crest of a breaker! To have the waves, like a pack of hungry wolves, eying you always, night and day, and from time to time making a spring at you, almost sure to have you at last.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
