Established in 2000 by Samer Joudi (Arabic: سامر الجودي), this portal is intended for Arab countries as well as Arabic speakers outside the Arab region. It aims at deploying the culture of CAD, GIS, GPS, RS, and CAM technologies, connecting the users, be they beginners or experts, of such kind of software, to make the users able to share and develop their knowledge and their academic qualification. The portal aims at developing the Arabic language through the founding and maintaining of unified technical terminology of these fields of information technology to be used consistently across the 22 Arab countries.
