Programming

The station airs programming of interest and benefit to the community. Programming includes Kiwanis TV Bingo, which is the longest running community television program in Canada. Each year this program raises funds for local charities. In the 2005-06 season, over $250,000 was raised through Kiwanis TV Bingo and went right back to the community. Cable 14 also airs several community sports events, including games played by Hamilton's Mohawk College and McMaster University sports teams.

Weekdays at noon, Cable 14 airs its daily lifestyle magazine show Hamilton Life. This program features segments telling the stories of the Hamilton community and the people who live there. The show is produced & hosted by Linda Rourke.

Nightly at 5:00pm, Cable 14 airs For The Record, a daily public affairs show produced by Mike Cameron and hosted by various members of the community, depending on the day of the week.

On Tuesdays, For The Record has The O Show, featuring community members Laura Babcock and Lorne Lieberman. On Wednesdays, For The Record has The Opinionators, discussing the important issues of the day. Wednesdays are hosted by Larry Di Ianni. On Thursdays, For The Record airs a Council Thursday edition, in which a Hamilton City Councillor is on the show for the entire half hour. The Thursday episodes are hosted by Doug Farraway.

Both shows repeat back-to-back throughout the evening until midnight. Cable 14 airs Hamilton City Council meetings Wednesdays at 7:00pm.

In September 2011, Cable 14 increased access to the station for members of the community, allocating the 10pm hour on weekdays, and 9am-noon on Saturdays, to community producers for certain topics with Access Hamilton. Such shows include Access the Mayor, a monthly call-in show with Hamilton Mayor Bob Bratina; Hamilton Talks, a weekly interview show hosted by Larry Di Ianni; Just ask Bob, a home improvement show; In a Song, focusing on local musicians; and Police Watch, a call-in show with Hamilton Police Chief Glenn De Caire.

At election time Cable 14 provides all-candidate debates for each of the local ridings and/or wards, as well as full election night coverage with a focus on local races, including Haldimand.

A number of local personalities have hosted shows on the channel, including Karen Bertelsen, Doug Farraway, and Mike Nabuurs.

Cable 14 is funded by the three cable television companies that serve Hamilton: Cogeco Cable, Shaw Cablesystems (formerly Mountain Cable), and Source Cable Limited.
