The former attorney is now known as Rev. Dr. C. Vernon Mason. He recently served as Chief Executive Officer for the Uth Turn initiative, which provided mentoring, leadership training, educational and job preparation, employment and social services referrals, counseling and substance support to at risk youth until it closed in July 2010.
