2008 Season
On February 24, 2008, Kim signed a contract with the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Pirates had planned to use Kim exclusively in the bullpen. Kim made his first spring training appearance on March 10, 2008. After a disappointing spring training performance, Kim was released by the Pirates on March 25.
