Personal Life

As a child, Walker struggled with undiagnosed dyslexia. He also had weight problems. When he graduated high school, he says that he weighed 215 lbs but subsequently dropped to 165 lbs. He titled his next album Sycamore Meadows after the street the house was on.

Famous quotes containing the words personal life, personal and/or life:

Wherever the State touches the personal life of the infant, the child, the youth, or the aged, helpless, defective in mind, body or moral nature, there the State enters “woman’s peculiar sphere,” her sphere of motherly succor and training, her sphere of sympathetic and self-sacrificing ministration to individual lives.
    Anna Garlin Spencer (1851–1931)

The ingrained idea that, because there is no king and they despise titles, the Americans are a free people is pathetically untrue.... There is a perpetual interference with personal liberty over there that would not be tolerated in England for a week.
    Margot Asquith (1864–1945)

While I enjoy the friendship of the seasons I trust that nothing can make life a burden to me.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
