Business Case - Public Sector Projects

Public Sector Projects

Many public sector projects are now required to justify their need through a business case. In the public sector, the business case is argued in terms of cost/benefit analysis, which may include both financial and non-financial cost and benefits. This allows the business to take into account, for example, societal benefits.

Famous quotes containing the words public and/or projects:

Don’t you go believing in sayings, Picotee: they are all made by men, for their own advantages. Women who use public proverbs as a guide through events are those who have not ingenuity enough to make private ones as each event occurs.
    Thomas Hardy (1840–1928)

But look what we have built ... low-income projects that become worse centers of delinquency, vandalism and general social hopelessness than the slums they were supposed to replace.... Cultural centers that are unable to support a good bookstore. Civic centers that are avoided by everyone but bums.... Promenades that go from no place to nowhere and have no promenaders. Expressways that eviscerate great cities. This is not the rebuilding of cities. This is the sacking of cities.
    Jane Jacobs (b. 1916)
