Local Government
Burlington Township is governed under the Faulkner Act (Mayor-Council) Plan E form of municipal government and consists of a mayor and a seven-member Township Council. The council is elected at-large in partisan elections to four-year terms in office on a staggered basis.
As of 2012, the Mayor of Burlington Township is Brian J. Carlin. Members of the Burlington Township Council are Council President E.L. "Pete" Green, President Pro Tem Carl M. Schoenborn, George M. Kozub, Harry McConnell Richard W. Quinn, Jr. and Sandra V. Stewart.
