Bumrungrad has international healthcare accreditation from the American private company Joint Commission International. However, up to 2008 the hospital had not as yet expanded its accreditation portfolio to take in other accreditation schemes representative of parts of the world outside of the US, such as Australia and Europe and the United Kingdom. Instead, Bumrungrad has continuously improved its service quality and accomplished the Thailand Quality Class Recognition Award in 2008. This Thailand Award is equivalent to the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (MBNQA) in US.
