Bumrungrad has international healthcare accreditation from the American private company Joint Commission International. However, up to 2008 the hospital had not as yet expanded its accreditation portfolio to take in other accreditation schemes representative of parts of the world outside of the US, such as Australia and Europe and the United Kingdom. Instead, Bumrungrad has continuously improved its service quality and accomplished the Thailand Quality Class Recognition Award in 2008. This Thailand Award is equivalent to the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (MBNQA) in US.

• In 1989, Bumrungrad went public and its shares were listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET),
• In 2002, Prime Minister’s Export Award
• In 2002, First hospital in Asia to be accredited by the American-based Joint Commission International (JCI), one of the groups providing international healthcare accreditation services,
• In 2004 and 2008, Asia Money magazine’s “Best Small Cap Company” award,
• In 2005, First hospital in southeast Asia to be re-accredited by JCI,
• In 2007, American JCI disease specific certification from Joint Commission International of which strokes and heart attacks programs meet international standards and follow the latest US clinical guidelines.
• From 2004–2007, having been featured on CBS’s 60 Minutes and NBC’s Today Show as a leader in medical tourism and International hospital
• In 2008, Wall Street Journal Asia readers ranked Bumrungrad first in the Quality category and fourth overall among most admired Thai companies.

• In 2008, Bumrungrad International – the first hospital in Thailand, won the "Tourism Authority of Thailand" Award of Excellence in the category of Health Tourism at the 7th Thailand Tourism Awards.
• In 2008, Bumrungrad was named “Thailand’s Most Innovative Company” by Chulalongkorn University’s School of Business.
• In 2008, Bumrungrad won 1st Place as “Best Website for International Medical Travel” at the 2008 Consumer Health World Awards event in the US capitol.
• In 2008, Bumrungrad was reaccredited by the US-based Joint Commission International (JCI).
• In 2008, Bumrungrad became the first privately-owned Thai hospital recognized by the Thailand Quality Award (TQA), based on the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.
• In 2011, Bumrungrad was reaccredited for a 3rd time by the US-based Joint Commission International (JCI).
