Budaun is politically much sensational, Whole city area comes under Budaun Constituency governed by Mr.Dharmendra Yadav, nephew of Mr.Mulayam Singh Yadav. Budaun is always the favourite place of Mr. Mulayam and he was the MLA of Gunaur Vidhan Sabha for many turns too. He has given a special status to Budaun. Mr. Mahesh Gupta (Ex MLA) is also known as Development Purush, his best effort given us new bridge of Badi Ziyarat. Mr. Ramsevak Singh Patel(Ex MLA Binabar) and Mr. Deenbandhu Gupta a reputed civilian, who has been actively involved in city development. Currently the MLA of main city is Mr. Abid Raza. Under his controls, many new projects including Sot river project has flourished. South based Vijaya Bank has also opened their Branch in Budaun.
